GD 201 - 10 Pager: Game Mechanics

Action mechanics that fall into the game are simple ones like running, jumping or dodging an enemy attack but there are also ones that involve RNG, or random number generator for short. Throughout the game as you progress in the story and quest line within the game, loot drops are randomly generated depending on the type of quest you are completing and enemy or boss you are fighting, as well as the combat system, like how much damage you do for striking your enemy with your sword or using a skill that teleports you and attacks them from behind is randomly generated as well. An example for loot RNG, say you are doing a quest that is level 30 and above, chances are you can obtain a legendary loot whether it’s a piece of armor or weapon. Rare chances are you get a unique, yellow or goldish color, piece of gear or a weapon. It is all randomly generated and based on a set of numbers that either gives you a legendary or unique gear set or even a duplicate piece that you already have.  Rule mechanics, such as you aren’t allowed to go to a high level area until you reach that required level, you can’t attack civilians or wild animals, you can’t break down buildings and you cannot willingly teleport out of the map. Combat mechanics for fighting other players and AIs are debuffs and buffs can be inflicted depending on the type of skill tree the player or AI has. You can parry and block player and AI attacks if timed properly to get a good counter off.
