GD 201 - 10 Pager: Concept/Overview

My game concept is an MMORPG, Open-World, Episodic game called Corruption. Some of the inspiration from the game is from my favorites Destiny 1 and Destiny 2, Skyrim and Dying Light. It will come first exclusively on console then move over to PC and will not be going to mobile or VR. With the game being episodic, quest heavy, and if you are interested in it, lore heavy, it means that there will be multiple episodes that you will have to purchase to continue in the storyline, so if you decide to gather some friends and need them for a mission, all players must purchase the next episode or have the same quest to continue with you. There will  be decisions you make throughout the story as you progress, with every decision you make there will be a change in the storyline so multiple decisions, multiple consequences and multiple endings. So every player who has done different choices and get different consequences, they will see the world differently. There might be monuments that are in a city that weren't there before for you because you decided to spare a construction worker who was going to be assassinated and now you can use the building as an extra hideout in the city, and maybe your friend sees it differently because he let the construction worker get assassinated. Winnings and Losses can become a personal thing or a group thing, some basic and general losses could be dying to enemies that may be too overpowered for you and/or your group to defeat and wins come with defeating those enemies with just skill and how you decide to plan it out. Two of the main factors will be the PVE and PVP skill trees and the open world, which can determine how powerful you will become and what you are allowed to do within the populated open world. An example for the open world, say you need materials for upgrading your gear, you can explore specific parts of the open world but you can’t go to a high level area or an area that requires a DLC. What you will most likely be doing in the game is progressing through the storyline alone or with friends, all at the same time making your character and stats stronger to fight stronger enemies and unique bosses. An example for the skill trees, differentiating PVE and PVP, give you different attack effects and buff effects at a cost of getting a debuff, low durability, slow attack speed, and anything worse.
