GD 201 - Journal Response 1
In the 2nd Chapter of "Theory of Fun" Raph makes a good deduction on how our brain and way of thinking works. Thinking is all about relying on your memory, our ability to recognize patterns and how to look at the real world. Take for example a game like Devil May Cry, you are fighting a boss and are trying to recognize it's combat pattern, where it moves when it does a slam, how long does it take to charge up it's special move, etc. To apply this to my game concept, I would take into consideration on how muscle memories on players and their abilities to recognize patterns work.
